Okay, you’re probably wondering what happened. I’m wondering what happened. One day I’m a marketing associate for a top firm in Washington, D.C. The next day I’m handing in my two weeks’ notice and bolting back to Pitchette, Pennsylvania.

It’s official. Mollie Maris is washing out in her thirties.

I could say it’s because Mom died last year. I could say it’s because my best friend Jess needs me to help out with her new fitness studio. But let’s be honest. I’m just  terrible at the whole adulting thing.

And of course Liam Taggert is here to see it. Mr. Boy Scout/War Hero/Volunteer Firefighter. So he’s hot. BIG DEAL. Lots of guys are hot. 

Lots of guys don’t catch me in a compromising position outside a gas station, though. Or save me from drowning. Then there’s the whole whippets-in-the-cemetery incident. Which was NOT MY FAULT!

GAAAAAAAAH!

Maybe I should go back to D.C. Maybe I should dye my hair, change my name, and flee the country. One thing’s for sure, I can’t stay here. Because this is Pitchette. There are no happily-ever-afters. Just day-by-days. Right?
